Teemu Mattsson is a versatile Finnish Jazz trumpetist. He is born 20th of January in 1975 in Kotka, Finland. Mattsson is a graduate from Sibelius-Academy Jazz Departement and most recently he has held the position of the lead trumpet chair in the world-renowned Umo Jazz Orchestra. This shows that as a jazz player Mattsson knows his way around both as a lead and section player and as a strong and unique improvisor. Mattsson also leads his own quintet and their first cd was released in may 2006. Second release is now available.
